It's quite exciting in these times of crisis and international embarassment for Italy to acknowledge that this country is much more than scandals, nice food, good music, under-age prostitutes, and a prime minister who has been defined by a British comedian (Charlie Brooker)as 'an ejaculating penis with a prime minister attached to it'. Nice indeed.
So here I proudly present the latest project by Renzo Piano: a pointed new building in the heart of London, called the shard' (literally, 'coccio') that when completed in 2012 will be the tallest skyscraper in Europe. I can't wait to see it! :-)

Ah alleluia!!!!!!! È dal 2007 che lo cerco nello skyline di Londra. All uni mi avevano fatto credere fosse già in piedi!!! Finalmente una data: giustamente per le olimpiadi. Anche qui a Milano c'è la corsa sfrenata per raggiungere entro il 2015 le vette più alte...i risultati non sn sempre tra i migliori ma del buon Renzino voglio avere fiducia. I Love his architecture!!
